Two outstanding instrumentalists
bring style, elegance and groove
to the music they sing and perform.

Mad About Jane

Mad About Jane has a very enjoyable groove on all of it. The duo's music features a mix of swing, country, folk, blues and boogie, from the 1930’s on up. Jane Aleckson, is singer, songwriter, bass player and mother. Her energy and talents have traveled with her around the world. Jane and she has played professionally since she was 18 years old. Her musical tenure has produced many wonderful tunes of her own and has shared both stage and recording sessions with Prudence Johnson, Dean McGraw, Gene Pitney, Tony Sandler and many others. She also performs with Jim Ouska.

Jim Madison, guitar player, 5-string banjo picker, singer, well-driller (huh?), has taken more of a semi-professional approach to music. Jim’s musical career started with bluegrass banjo (Scruggs style) and flat-pickin’ the guitar, and later evolved into old swing and country standards on guitar. Jim also performs in a trio with Bruce Bowers and Cal Aultman ( Bruce and Cal in the Big Top Chautauqua Band ). Mad About Jane will get your toes a tappin’ as they bounce through the many forms of music that has shaped our lives. Rhythms, vocals and instrumentals, you may find yourself looking for a dance partner.
