Sing Out! – Autumn 2007 - Review of “The Shores of My Hometown” – “His down-home style snags you with its honesty and unpretentiousness ... His voice has that natural Bill Staines quality, nothing flashy but consistently entertaining. Slip off your shoes, put your feet up and relax with Isles’ vignettes and visions. - WMFT’s Rich Warren

Bill & Kate Isles

Bill Isles was the Winner of the 2001 Minnesota Folk Festival New Folk Songwriting Contest and nominated for the 2002 Minnesota Music Awards Song of the Year for "I Can't Take You Home" and 2003 Minnesota Music Awards Acoustic/Folk Recording of the Year for "The Threshold",

Bill Isles has become one of the most well known and highly respected singer/songwriters in the Midwest. Admittedly a romantic, many of his lyrics describe emotional and sensual encounters. His songs are poetic reflections of life experiences and often explore adventurous spiritual courses.

Kate Isles has become an integral part of the act, with extensive duo touring planned for 2008 to support their upcoming duet album, “Matching Baggage” which includes several songs that they’ve co-written. The recording offers the "perfect blend of two voices".
